Toddlers and Tantrums
Why do kids have Tantrums?Toddlers experience tantrums due to a number of reasons which could include being overloaded with activity, being over-tired, bored, feeling unwell, demanding attention or a bout of frustration. It’s important that we try not to overwhelm our toddlers with too many choices at an early age. There are several ways you can deal with these tantrums.
After you have handled the tantrum and your toddler has calmed down you can give them a cuddle and talk about what caused the tantrum. Toddlers and FeelingsToddlers are still learning they have feelings, what they mean and feel like. Teaching our children what these feelings are and what they mean can help them better deal with them. You can do this by talking to them, by singing to them or by reading a book. There are many great ways that children learn and by making it a fun game, children are more likely to learn. For young children showing them what is appropriate can be helpful too.
