Happy New Year for Parents by Sue Atkins
I'm re-reading one of the most influential best selling books of all time "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill, as it always inspires, uplifts and keeps me motivated and moving forward to achieving my goals for myself, my family and for the passion I have to make a difference in the world helping you give your kids the ultimate gift of self esteem and true inner confidence. The starting point of all achievement is the real driving desire or intention to do, make or create something that's important to you, and it's different from just hoping, wishing and dreaming. It has to become a passion, a deep desire and something that really fires you up, as this will sustain you when things go wrong, turn out unexpectedly or stall. Napoleon Hill interviewed over 500 of the most affluent, influential and successful people of his generation over a 25 year period and he discovered that there was a definite pattern and a set of principles that all successful people and parents followed. In a nutshell, the first steps in achieving success in your family, in your business, in your school or in your life as a whole is to : 1) Imagine yourself successful 2) Reflect on your past successes 3) Set definite goals 4) Respond positively to life New Year's resolutions don't usually work – so dream- and look at practical ways to take the small steps towards achieving your dreams , over time, you can make them a reality
