It is a great idea, however our daughters first birthday was more of a parents - We survived party. For my son I had considered not having a party but Miss 3 is so excited that I have invited people with little ones around to help celebrate. No where near as big as my daughters 1st birthday, but something special to mark the occasion. If we had family in town we might just keep it to that but most of our family live interstate.
