I was at the park today with my two young kids. A lady was there with her daughter and what appeared to be two ladies from a mothers group that she was in. The lady lit up a cigarette in the middle of the group, at the park, in a group with kids. Now I won’t lie…I hate smokers, I have no tolerance for them what so ever. To smoke around children is just horrible. I spoke up, and asked her “can you please put that out!”, I’m at the park with my kids to which she replied, “well so am I”. I could not let it go, I had to say that I felt sorry for the kids, and that her friends were probably just being polite not asking you to not smoke in front of their kids and newborn baby. She eventually walked away, holding her toddler and still smoking! Law or no law it is horrible. I wish I could dish out a stupid label for her forehead. Why do people smoke around kids?

Just saw something I hate even more. Walking into the shops was a heavily pregnant woman smoking. What hope does this child have?

i don't know how you managed to restrain yourself!!, I think that is child abuse and the 'mum' to be should be held accountable through the courts and fined
