Dear Readers...
Spring/Summer is officially ‘toilet training season’ and whilst there are many success stories to tell, there are many of you having false starts, so we decided to offer further support to our family of subscribers by producing an extra edition dedicated to this highly anticipated milestone.
I like to think more in terms of ready or not when it comes to toilet training, not fast or slow learners. Toilet training is not a competition, don’t stress about it, your child will make it to the loo eventually... and there’s more, hearing a little tinkle in the potty is just the beginning according to Cath ‘AKA Squiggle mum’. Whilst coining the phrase Advanced Toilet Training, yes ATT in her blog this week, Cath explores the graduation process from potty training to ATT which includes wiping 1s and 2s, hand washing, getting from potty to loo and other equally exciting skills your child will need to master.
You may remember in our last edition I reported that my neighbour Nicky had shed his nappy, well I can now report that he has reached ATT. He even sleeps through without his nappy. We babysat him on Sunday and he proudly told me he was off to the toilet and didn’t need any help. However, he did get his undies into an unimaginable twist that took me about 15 mins to get him out off!! Bless him.
We have some exciting news in this edition, Dr Jonny Taitz is coming on board next year with a monthly blog, also a Thomas the Tank Engine movie ticket competition and tips to help you on your way to toilet training success..
Take care and have a good week.
