Giving birth is a rite of passage. It is your first step into the unknown for the love of your child. Putting yourself ‘under’ the doctor isn’t a recommended birthing position! By becoming an active and informed participant in your birth experience, you will discover a depth of feeling and a strength you may never have believed possible. Ask questions, understand your body and how to make birth easier, choose carers and support people who are respectful and include you in decision making, and find a birthplace where you feel safe.

Pregnancy is a time of great excitement and preparation. Each pregnancy is different, some easier than others but in our own way we get though, many of us more than once! From the moment we discover we are expecting until our baby arrives, there is a flurry of well meaning advise from relatives, friends and colleagues.

This weeks enews will give you some of the latest information to help you on your journey..

As new parents, both men and women develop expectations of what their partners should do and provide, often based on an outdated traditional model and many couples co-exist unhappily for years. While our parents may have been content to settle into traditional stereotypic roles, the current generation of parents is struggling to fit into these moulds.

The Post-Baby Conversation will show you and your partner how to re-balance your relationship, regain equality and create understanding in your post-baby relationship.
