I went out on Saturday night, unusual for me, normally I am in Blanket Bay by 10pm. Sunday morning (or should I say dawn) arrived and I woke to my eight year old jumping up and down on my bed. She is not a morning person and would on any other day sleep in until 9am if I let her. A wave of guilt swept over me, thankfully not for long. It is OK to have a social life without the children. I am not a bad parent or abandoning them by having a late night once in a blue moon, I am simply human. After a couple of hours of me asking Emily to give Mummy another half an hour a note gently slid over the side of my face and stopped at the bottom of my nose. ”I love you Mummy” it said. She was really pulling out all the stops now! It was time to get up...
Isn’t it interesting how kids just seem to know how to work their magic...

Franchising Expo provides opportunities in bad economic times

In an economic environment where the news seems to go from bad to worse, interest in the franchising industry is growing daily. Whether you are looking for greater job security or flexible working hours, a franchise could be just what you’re looking for.
"Bad news for the economy can often mean good news for franchisors. With the ongoing threat of job cuts and stock price plunges, more people are deciding that the best way to control their own destiny is through franchises and small-business ownership" said Jon Perry, Exhibition Director, Franchising & Business Opportunities Expos. "A franchise, with its proven systems and support, offers a safer and potentially high return alternative".
For young families the Franchising & Business Opportunities Expos, with the Franchising Boot Camp and Franchising Advice Centre is a 'must' to attend.
The 2009 Franchising & Business Opportunities Expos, Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre 20-22 March, before moving on to Perth in May, Melbourne in August and Brisbane in September.
