Many of you would have children who started childcare or kindy this year and with this in mind we have produced this weeks edition of our enews with some handy tips to keep lice at bay, lunchbox’s healthy and kids inspired and enthusiastic about learning.
I have an 8 year old who refuses to learn her spelling words and after a year of battling it out on a nightly basis came up with a new approach. I have reversed the process and created a ‘ new girl’ when it comes to spelling. She teaches me and tests me every morning from her word list, she thinks it’s hilarious and tells everyone “Mummy’s learning to spell”.

Handy Hint
Prevention is better than a cure. Stop your kids bringing any unwanted visitors home - spray their hair with hair spray every day. |
Healthy Lunch Box Ideas
Children that have a more substantial lunch at school are also less likely to binge or graze on high energy/fat snack foods when they get home.
Most parents appreciate the importance of good nutrition and aim to provide healthy food choices for their children. Creating a healthy lunch box is important for children’s overall nutrition. Uneaten and discarded lunches are a waste of ‘food’, ‘effort’ and ‘money’. All of which are rare and precious commodities.
Here you can find a comprehensive list of tips and recipes for your child’s healthy lunch box.
